Brainjee connects teachers with students. Instructors create and publish courses, and learners find subjects they want to study and buy them.
Gunpowder Innovations designed the platform with a focus on the teacher's first steps. Signing up, building a course, and publishing it should feel possible for someone who has never taught online before.
The challenge
Many people know a subject well enough to teach it, but never do. The tools are confusing, the process is unclear, and there is nobody to explain what happens next.
Other platforms make this worse with long sign-up forms and publishing steps that assume you already know how it works. New teachers start, get stuck, and give up.
The client wanted a marketplace that welcomes first-time instructors, encourages them to finish a course, helps students find good content, and builds trust on both sides. It also had to hold up as the number of courses grows.
What we built
We designed a marketplace built around the teacher's journey, from the first idea to a published course, and around helping students find what they need.
Instructor onboarding. A guided sign-up that gets a new teacher started quickly and explains each step.
Course creation. Clear workflows for planning a curriculum, organising lessons, and getting a course ready.
The marketplace. One place for students to find courses across many subjects and categories.
Publishing. Simple steps to take a finished course live.
Instructor support. Guides and resources that help teachers succeed rather than leaving them alone.
Course discovery. Students browse, search, and explore by category with straightforward navigation.
Reviews. Student feedback and instructor credentials that help learners choose with confidence.
Works on any device. The experience adapts to desktop, tablet, and phone.

Design approach
People come to a teaching platform with very different levels of technical skill. The design has to work for someone comfortable with software and for someone who is not.
We kept onboarding short, broke course creation into clear stages, and made navigation predictable. At every point, a teacher can see how far along they are and what comes next.
The visual style is modern and warm rather than corporate. It is meant to encourage people to teach, which was the whole point of the product.
Architecture and delivery
The platform is made up of instructor registration and onboarding, course creation workflows, curriculum planning, the publishing system, the marketplace itself, student discovery, reviews and testimonials, instructor support resources, and search and navigation.
It runs as a responsive website across all screen sizes.
The structure was built to handle a growing number of instructors, courses, and learners without redesign.
Results
More teachers sign up. Simple onboarding removes the barriers that stopped people before.
More courses get finished. Structured workflows carry instructors through to publishing.
Better engagement. Clear navigation and organised content encourage students to explore.
More trust. Professional design and honest reviews make both sides confident in the platform.
Learning from anywhere. Students can study on whatever device they have.
Ready to grow. The foundation supports many more instructors, courses, and learners.
Conclusion
Brainjee shows how good design can turn knowledge into teaching. People who would never have built a course online now can.
By joining onboarding, course creation, and marketplace discovery into one experience, the platform closes the gap between those who know something and those who want to learn it.
